what biochemical test is the best used to difrentiate two gram positive bacilli

Homework Answers

Answer #1

A biochemical test is the best used to differentiate two gram positive bacilli include the usage of the catalase test as this test is used to differentiate between the organisms that produce catalase from those that do not produce catalase. For example the Staphylococci that are catalase producing from the Streptococci that are not catalase producing. When the organism in contact with hydrogen peroxide breaks it down to oxygen and water is considered catalase positive.
