How are they 50% different?

Answer - Human DNA as such saliva DNA is very much similar to the strawberry DNA

Humans have two copies of DNA whereas strawberry have it copies of DNA but both a double helix in nature

This is because of the housekeeping genes that are present in all the living organisms as derived from the single-cell organism these housekeeping genes have various functions like cell division(replication), transcription, translation and cell cycle control genes which are conserved sequences in all the living organisms.

Another reason from evolution is that animals and plants have evolved parallelly so much of their DNA is similar.
