Menstrual cycle:it has menstruation phase,proliferative phase or follicular phase,ovulation phase,secretory phase or luteal phase.

Menstruation phase:it lasts for 0 to 7 days,during this phase levels of estrogen and progesterone are low,there is shedding of uterine endometrium.

Proliferative phase: it lasts for 7 to 14 days,there is maturation of ovarian follicles and there is increase in estrogen level.

Ovulation phase:14th day,there is release of mature ovum from surface of ovary,there is LH surge

Secretory phase:14 to 28th day,in this progesterone is high to prepare corpus luteum and endometrium for implantation of fertilized ovum.
