Yes, triacylglycerol polymers (TGP) are toxic to
human health.
Edible vegitable oil produces high concentration of
triglyceride polymer.
Toxic effects of TGP include viability and phagocytic activity
of macrophages were significantly inhibited by TGP, and elevated
LDH release was observed in TGP‐treated macrophages.
TGP also significantly increased the intracellular
ROS (Reactive oxygen species) level and thus resulted in apoptosis
of macrophages.
All these shows that TGP has obvious toxicity against immune
function.
Avoiding junk food and TGP contained food can prevent these
health risk.
