15) A motor spinning at 270rad/s is hooked up to a outlet of 120V. It is submerged in a 0.028 T magnetic field, with a 530 loop wire enclosed in a space of 1.6*10^-2m^2 . What would be the amplitude of the produced back EMF?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Given data :-

Motor spinning with angular velocity () = 270 rad/s

Motor is connected to a Electrical outlet (V) = 120 V (Maximum limit output)

Motor is place in Magnetic field (B) = 0.028 T

No. of loop turns (N) = 530

Area of the loop (A) = 1.6*10^-2 m^2

Formulae :-

  • Amplitude of Emf induced in a rotating planar coil (e)= BAN

Calculations :-

e = BAN

substitute all values in the formulae we get ;

e = 0.028 * (1.6*10^-2)*530*270

e = 64.108 V

Hence , Amplitude of the produced back emf (e) =64.108 V
