How can we (at any level) work on the problem in society?

(1)By understanding that Mental disorder is not a cultural taboo. So, people should not feel shame about seeking help.

(2) Combating stigma by educating the public about mental health and encouraging people to talk about it.

(3)Some communities have belief that having a mental health disorder constitutes weakness. We need to break these barriers by spreading the fact that Mental health is not a race, religion or gender issue—it’s a humanity issue.

(4)Media should come forward to run an awareness program and campaign.

(5)Politicians should help in eliminating the stigma around mental health by creating appropriate conditions for its treatment.
