There are 31 pairs of spinal nerves arise from spinal cord. These include 12 pairs of cervical nerves which innervates the muscles and provide sensation for the head, neck, and diaphragm, as well as the upper limbs and back, 8 pairs of thoracic nerves which innervates chest and abdomen, 5 pairs of lumbar which innervates lower abdomen and hip region, 5 pairs of sacral nerves which innervates thigh lower leg and foot, 1 pair coccygeal nerves which innervates coccygeal region.
