Briefly describe the reflex response in the stomach once food enters. What is produced and how do these products digest the food material?

Accmodative Reflex

Once the food reaches stomach it stimulates the vagovagal reflex, which signals active relaxation of smooth muscle of the stomach, which lead to dilation of stomach.

Also vagal stimulation of stimulate G cells & gastric gland to secrete gastrin and gastric juice help in digestion of food.

Food enter stomach --> stimulation of mucus membrane of stomach --> afferent via vagus --> medullary centre --> efferent via vagus --> synapse in interensic plexus --> stimulate gastric gland and G cell --> Gastric juice
