Question

The number of moles in 3.84 g of urea is ___ mol.

The number of moles in 3.84 g of urea is ___ mol.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

molecular formula of urea =CH4N2O

No. of atom C=1, H=4,O=1,N=2

atomic weight of H=1.008-1g/mol, C=12.017-12g/mol, N= 14.0067-14g/mol, O= 15.99-16g/mol

relative molar mass= neglecting the quantity after point, didn't affect answer

relative molar mass=No. of atom *atomic weight

= 1(12)+ 2(14)+1(16)+4(1)

=60g/mol

no. of mole=urea in gram/molecular mass

=3.84g / 60g/mol

  =0.064 mole of urea
