What hormone strongly regulates the release of GNRH from hypothalamus?

What hormone strongly regulates the release of GNRH from hypothalamus?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Answer ; Estrogen

The one hormone that is very key factor for the regulation and the release of GNRH from the hypothalamus is the above mentioned hormone. When this hormone found on the circulation it will signal to release the releasing hormone from the hypothalamus, Which will further produce other two hormone from the pituitary gland which are responsible for reproductive function. Although there are some other hormones that influence the release but the estrogen will strongly regulate this process.

Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) is synthesized in the hypothalamus and transported to the anterior pituitary. How does GnRH reach the anterior pituitary? Group of answer choices It is transported directly to the anterior pituitary by axons of the hypothalamic-hypophyseal tract. it is transported by axons to the posterior pituitary and diffuses from there into the anterior pituitary. It is released into the blood and travels through the systemic circulation before reaching the anterior pituitary. It is secreted into the hypophyseal portal...
