Answer #1

It's okay if you have no idea how to start with. You can see the population census of New York of last few years and the number of piano purchases from newyork and abroad. Then you can calculate the average number of piano movers using statistical measures like mean, median, mode ,variance ,standard deviations and nth moments. In the starting it will give you a general and easy approximation but it is worth calculating and when you will realise other important factors including above, you can make up a better approximation.

For a project in my microbiology class, I was asked to come up with a scientific question about GP187 (Singulisphaera) and the gene for MoxR proteins. I came up with the following: "I discovered that MoxR is the key regulator of the protein methanol dehydrogenase, which is important in the utilization of methane and methanol. How does the addition of methanol to the MoxR protein gene affect the function of the gene and the production of methanol dehydrogenase in GP187...

A new taproom is trying to figure out how many different microbrews to carry. They estimate every tap added will increase revenue, but with diminishing returns: each tap will increase profits by 20% less than the tap before. Revenue from the first tap is $10,000, adding the second is $10,000+$8000 =$18,000, the third tap is $18,000+$6,400=$24,400, and so on. If the fixed costs of the bar are $30,000 and each tap costs $400, how many taps should the bar install...

I am trying to figure out how to find the test statistic using Excel. I understand the formula- that I need to use parameter 'p' and 'normal distribution' ….z= sample proportion and minus the 'population portion' then we divide p*q and divide n -sample size. I understand how to populate the data in the formula. I just can't figure out how to solve this using Excel. (my only option with my class) I need step by step directions if possible....

How do you count the vlanece electrons for for [Fe(CO)4]2-? I cannot figure out how to get 16 or 18 using the donor pair method or the netural ligand method. For some reason I cannot figure out electron counting, depsite watching videos. In the exmplaes it all makes sense, until I try to do one on my own. Anyways, using the donor pair method, the COs would contribute 2e- each, so 8e- total. Then iron would be in the -2...

Many psychologists (self-included) have come to view self-esteem as "not all it's cracked up to be." Not an unalloyed good for the individual. Consider the following: 1) Is it possible to have a good sense of self-worth without showing traits and behaviors associated with egotism? 2) How do we help children value themselves while also preparing them to fail or need to improve in some areas of life? How do I work this problem? Annuity payments are assumed to come at the end of each payment period (termed an ordinary annuity). However, an exception occurs when the annuity payments come at the beginning of each period (termed an annuity due). What is the future value of a 13-year annuity of $3,000 per period where payments come at the beginning of each period? The interest rate is 11 percent. Use Appendix C for an approximate answer, but calculate your...

Topic Often times there are so many variables involved in a study that it is difficult to distinguish "causes". For example, there is the belief that "smoking causes lung cancer". I tend to believe this myself but my own mother was a chain smoker and never developed lung cancer. There are many other variables that might affect the outcome of lung cancer such as working conditions, heredity, diet, etc. It is too hard to account for every "factor" in these...

If not, add the word as key with a value of 1 for the Integer value. If it...

My email was in regards to an issue we are having at work. We have inactive listings on the site, managed by unresponsive owners. These inactive listings make our renters very angry, because they took time from their day to look for an RV, and after locating one that they like, they find out that the owner of that RV is not active in our site. My audience is the CEO of the company and the management. I would like...

You find yourself sitting in at a table in the “Ol‘ Living Scientist Cafe” and you overhear comments from conversations going on at nearby tables. Based on your molecular biology training, you think you can figure out who is talking. Ascribe the following comments to the scientist that would be their most likely progenitor. “We never dreamed that we might be the first two women to win a Nobel Prize in a single category, but I can’t deny that the...
