Increasing the significance level (alpha) also increases the statistical power.

by keeping all things constant, if the value of increases,the power of the test also increases.Because a larger α indicates a larger rejection region for the test and hence a greater probability of rejecting the null hypothesis. which results to a more powerful test.

in other words, we can say that the power of the test is reduced when we reduce the significance level.
