There is essentially one distinguishing difference (criteria) between interval level data and ratio level data. What is this one distinguishing difference, and please provide me with an example of a variable of both of these categories
Interval level data:The data where we can take difference of two values, but can not take ratios of two values.
Eg: Temperature (The temperature of city A is 40 deg Celsius and temperature of city B is 20 deg Celsius, then A is 20 deg Celsius hotter than B (taking difference). But we can't say city A is twice as hot as city B.
Ratio level data:
In the ratio level of scale, we can take a ratio of two values.
Eg. the weight 50 kg is twice as heavy as the weight 25 kg .
