first we will se defintion for nominal scale:

A Nominal Scale is a measurement scale, in which numbers serve as “tags” or “labels” only, to identify or classify an object. A nominal scale measurement normally deals only with non-numeric (quantitative) variables or where numbers have no value.

example:-

1) Gender:- male,female.

2) hair colour :- black , brown, gray, other

Here we cannot find mean or median because we cannot average or find middle most value for this type of data.

but here we can find most occued catgory if 20 male & 30 female then female will be mode.

So we can perfom mode operation.
