Answer #1

Ans.d. I, II, IV

Quality, like many other concepts (for instance beauty), is a subjective concept that cannot be quantified in terms of an absolute value. Quality can be defined as the characteristics of an entity or product, which impact its ability to satisfy implied or stated needs. For a customer, quality may mean fitness of product towards use and providing for adequate satisfaction. For a business, quality may mean the combination of incurred cost and the features obtained. There are 9 dimensions of quality or product quality management. These are given below.

Performance: it refers to the primary operating characteristics of a product or certain attributes that may be measurable to a certain extent or comparatively. The dimension of performance may provide for the ranking of different products and brands based on the individual performance-related aspects. Safety is also included in the performance dimension.

Special Features: the special features of a product are the additional characteristics that may enhance the product's appeal for the user.

Reliability: the likelihood that a given product will not fail during usage is termed as the quality dimension of reliability.

Durability: the length of the life of a product is its durability.

Conformance: the precision or the extent to which a product meets the standards or benchmarks is the dimension of conformance.

Serviceability: it is the speed and efficiency with which a product can be serviced when it needs repair or breakdown. The dimension of serviceability may also relate to the behavior or the competence of the person who provides it.

Perceived quality: the perceived quality of a product may be based on certain indirect measures.

Safety: Safety of products has gained greater importance in recent times. while conformance to certain standards and benchmarks may also ensure that a product is safe, safety is also regarded as a separate dimension of quality by many. unsafe products may be a cause of injury and even fatalities. therefore may products of such nature are inspected following their safety in compliance with the national or international standards.

Aesthetics: the dimension may depend on the personal preferences of the user and the response it generates in them. It may relate to the sounds, looks, smell, or the feel produced or generated by a product for a user.

Following the above explanation, "price" cannot be considered as a dimension of quality.
