Why do you think that the decline in school performance of children or adolescents with brain tumors seems to reflect behavioral changes and neuropsychological deficits rather than decrements in specific academic skills?

Children having brain tumour are known to perform worse than children who have been physically healthy. The only reason for a decline in school performance is not only due to academic influences, but due to the Behavioral as well as school refusal. These people become sad along with facing school refusal. These children undergo great pressures along with the fact that they have a condition that is making them different than the rest. These children tend to start becoming depressed along with lack of focus. The attention span decreases as a result of lower mood conditions. With lack of motivation there is a decrease in the academic skills.

Rather, these experiences are shaped by various top-down influences, and they can even occur without any peripheral activation. This is similar to the way other sensory systems work, e.g., the visual or auditory systems, and seems to reflect a general way the brain process sensory events. Why do you think the brain interprets the incoming sensory information instead...
