How does this compare to the teaching of controversial issues in American history such as slavery or atrocities against Native Americans such as the Sand Creek Massacre, which were either not or barely mentioned in any textbooks until the 1960s?
History is spoken in the words of
the winners and they are always projected as good people and those
who are defeated will be projected as evils of the society.
American History is almost the same and white colour hid their
consciousness thus projecting the White Americans as the owners of
the land. The sufferings of Native Americans and African Americans
were told in the tone of heroism of White Americans who came as
settlers. Native Are the owners of the land and African Americans
sweat their blood to make America a better place to live.
White people were so arrogant and selfish that they systematically
destroyed the legacy of other races. Their text books, if they say
the real stories will be stained with blood. How will they tell
those stories? They will be ashamed of telling the truth. The
atrocities and violence that the white community unleashed against
the Native Americans and the Black community is beyond our
imagination and in today's standards, they are inhuman and barbaric
acts.
