Make sure it is in a sentence format.

Write a structured and mathematically precise 4-6 sentence response to the following prompt:

Given a function, we can find its derivative, which describes how the function is changing.   Also if we are given a function that is describing how a quantity is changing, we can use its anti-derivative to determine exactly how much that quantity has changed.

Recall the situation in a written assignment where you set a timer and start driving down the highway. Again suppose 'time 1' is 30 minutes of driving and 'time 2' is 1 hour 30 minutes of driving. Now suppose you have a device in your vehicle that records your odometer's reading (speed in miles per hour) at every time between time 1 and time 2. How could you determine the total distance traveled from this information? Would it be helpful if the device could output a graph of your speed vs time? How could formulate a mathematical expression involving antiderivatives to answer these questions?

9. A lot of corn grows in Iowa. For several years, farmers have kept track of the amount of rainfall (in inches) and the amount of corn produced (in bushels per acre). A strong and linear relationship has been observed between these variables. When a regression equation is constructed in order to predict amount of corn produced based on rainfall, it is found that the equation has an intercept of 89.54 and a slope of 0.13. We can conclude from...

CASE STUDY: DATA WAREHOUSING AT VOLVO Every Volvo car has hundreds of microprocessors and sensors. Their data is used in diagnosis and repair. It is also captured by Volvo, integrated with the company's CRM, dealership and product data stores, and stored for analysis. This enables Volvo to spot design and construction flaws early, enable proactive correction of faults, and see how its cars respond in accidents. Volvo sells about 400,000 cars per year.
