groupthink is a concept which says that people of a particular group think alike and individuals tend to go with the groups thinking and consider it as being right and the other group as being wrong. our cultural values determine the extent to which groupthink is expressed. in collective cultures where the emphasis is placed on being and living together and valuing the group groupthink is likely to be high. in individualistic cultures where the emphasis is on self and importance of individual groupthink tends to be lower. cultures determine what is right and wrong for a person and this influences groupthink alot.
