Dementia is often described as not being in ones own mind,a disorder which affects our brain,and has a history as early as 18th century.Initially treatment was not as effective and the traditional approach of treatment did not prove succesful.Dementia can have a early onset or age related in a person.By the 19th century they started to identify people and classify them according to mental ability.Then the classification started with the cognitive defects of the brain.It stemmed for Alzheimer's disease Initially it was recognized with other defects such as agressive behaviour and memory loss,but as studies advances it was noted that dementia had to do with the dying cells in the brain.Brain cells were studied at a greater importance.
