Episodic memory is the unique memory of a specific event in the mind of a person's, it is different from someone else's recollection of the same experience. Hence this type of memory is a person’s ability to recall and mentally re-experience specific episodes from one's personal past. For example memory of your sister’s wedding is an example of episodic memory.

Flashbulb memories are the distinctly precise, vivid, long-lasting, concrete memories that surround an individual's understanding of events that were shocking to him or her, about a personal circumstance. This kind of memory is based on the remembrance of the event with that is almost perceptual. Flashbulb memories are precise, vivid, long-lasting, concrete memories. For example the memory of the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
