Give your own example of a positive feedback loop from a real-life situation, and explain why a

positive loop is preferable

Homework Answers

Answer #1

One real life example of positive feedback loop is that when we point a video camera to a monitor screen which is displaying the camera's own signal, the positive feedback is formed on the screen because of the repeating patterns.

Positive feedback often enhances or amplifies an effect by it having an influence on the process which gave rise to it. For example, when part of an electronic output signal returns to the input, and is in phase with it, the system gain is increased. Hence, positive feedback loop is preferable.
