define role status and give an example as it apply to life

Status means the situation of a person that occupies in the society. It is a position within a group. But role is the part of society which we have to play according to the given status. Each and every status has it's own group of role. Everyone has so many roles in their life. In life, we have a so many variety of roles like father, mother, nurse, doctor consumer, teacher, voter, and so on.

For example, the father in our family is expected to fulfill his responsibility towards his children, which includes nurturing them, provide them education and protect them.

Doctor's role is very important in our life, he does so many things. What the doctor does that is role of his life, while what the doctor is that is the status of his life.
