The Civil Rights activism of the 1960s and 1970s was a struggle for social justice for blacks for gaining of equal rights under the law in the United States. The goal of these movements was ending of legalized racial segregation and discrimination laws in the United States. The Civil Rights activism of today is similar to the Civil Rights activism of the 1960s and 1970s as it aims to put an end to all kind of racial discrimination prevalent in the USA, to provide equal opportunities to the colored men of the country in all walks of life such as employment, education, and healthcare.
