Not having true beleifs does not lead to hypocricy, it allows you to question and live accordingly. Beliefs differ from person to person and situation to situation. Beliefs need to vary accordingly. Very deep set beliefs will only cause discomfort and cognitive dissonnace.

According to Kurzban self deception leads to misery and hypocricy. Lying to self only causes you to engage in bad behaiour and in turn be the bad guy. He argues that in the modular conception of the mind there is no room for deception of the self. Kurzban explains that to understand our behavioral irregularities one needs to understand the mind's plan. The human intellect consists of many specialized units which is chartered out by evolution and determination. While these modules in some cases work together consistently, they don't continuously, coming about in inconceivably conflicting convictions, instabilities between tolerance and lack of caution, infringement of our gathered ethical standards, and overinflated sees of ourselves. This measured, developmental mental data of the intellect undermines profoundly held instincts approximately ourselves, as well as a run of logical hypotheses that require a "self" with steady convictions and inclinations. Measured quality proposes that there is no "I." Instep, each of us is a disagreeable "we".a collection of discrete but association frameworks whose consistent clashes shape our intuitive with one another and our involvement of the world. In clear dialect, full of mind and wealth.
