This writing choice is about culture shock. Culture shock is discussed in chapter 2. If you have ever experienced severe culture shockwhile traveling outside of the U.S. and this experience affected you in some important ways, please describe your experience in detail. Please note the word severe, which implies that you were disoriented in some way and/or shocked (not just mildly surprised) by the substantial differences you experienced in another country. Don't discuss any distress you might have felt being in a country where everyone speaks a different language from.

(A) Discuss your experience of culture shock in detail, identifying the differences that were so disorienting or shocking to you. Be sure to mention multiple differences you encountered that disoriented or shocked you.

(B) Comment on how experiencing these differences has permanently changed some of your ideas, beliefs, or behaviors.

the joint family system in India was a culture shock for me. infact it was a great surprise to know that the parents arrange marriage s for children and ven they are getting married at the young agre of twelve and thirteen. It was really a shock to know that the dating is forbidden in the country by socila control. It helps me to understand about the freedom that i enjoy in my country that accepts individula rights. The right for me to choose my partner will not be taken as granted by me hereafter. I was really shoked to know that the girls and boy sometimes even does not see ecah other before marriage. it took almost a month for me to accept it as a truth.

I had changed my attitude and concept of freedom that i enjoy. I just feel proud and happy to born in a country which i live with freedom. I also had a desire to work among these communities top bring some change in them.
