Answer #1

PIAGET GAVE THE COGNITVE DEVELPOENT AND ITS STAGES. THE PREOPERATIONAL STAGE IS a part of it. the children learn to use symbols of language in thi stage. the child builds experiences about the world in thi stage. the features of this stage are-

centration- it means to focus on only one aspect at a time. in the coloring example while sitting with other friends still the kids focus on coloring only and do that instead of other activities.

egocentrism- children think only about themselves and see the situation from their point of view. hence in the coloring bit while focussing on coloring they focus on how they want it and do not talk to others.

Play- children engage in playing or in activities but they do that next to others and not with them. hence kids are coloring next to eaach other and not together.

Artificialism- it is the belief that people manufacture certain aspects of environment. hence they tend to color things in a excited manner to represent they can construct things.

all these aspects of the preoperational stage specially the paly and centration depict the activity to be under pre operational stage.
