There are many advantages of communication in writing over face to face communication . Such as :

1 . It may be unsuitable for some people . Some people may feel nervous or shy to communicate face to face , in such as communication in writing helps.

2. It is easier to communicate in writing for the large audiences.

3. Face to face communication is not feasible while addressing the different people sitting in different places of the world.

4. Face to face communication has low legal and reference value. This communication cannot be used as an accountable source or witness.

5. Manier times listener might miss out on something which is said by the speaker , due to his poor retention. In such a case writing communication is better , as the person can again go through the written words.
