Grit refers to the quality of character in a person that pushes the individual to continue to achieve a set goal no matter the difficulties faced. The presence of grit makes the individual more determined in the pursuit of achieving a set goal. The distinguishing factor with grit is that in its absence even the biggest of the talent and intelligent individual may remain as an underachiever. It is observed that grit is the valuable ingredient in a successful journey of an individual that adds the necessary unfettering focus leading to a fruitful performance.
