how to explain "Patient as consumers" in 100 words
There are two things in the commercial world, products and services
and both are available in the medical world. A patient pays for the
product or services that are offered by an hospital, therapist,
pharmacy etc., thus becoming the end user of that product or
service and derive some benefit out of using it. Patients are the
end users of medicine, consultation and therapy because all these
purchases are for their own use. This makes them consumers because
by definition, consumer is one who purchases good and services for
their personal use.
