In my view, critical thinking is a complex ability that involves thinking clearly and rationally with respect to thought and behaviour. It includes the ability to engage in reflective and independent thinking. I consider critical thinking to be more of a problem solving exercise because it seeks to understand logical connections and identify inconsistencies. These are essential processes that precede finding solutions to any problem. An individual who is critical thinker can deduce consequences from what he or she knows, based on which he or she can solve problems.
