100 bulldozers have an I=40 dBa and emitt sound at a comparatively low freq. Is this low frequency good or not in terms of attenuaatin the noise perceived in the town where the bulldozers work

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Low frequency means higher wavelenght.higher wavelenght sound waves need more time to generate and can travell longer distance than high frequency sound waves.attenuation means reduction in the intensity of a wave. low frequency sound is not affected much in space,so it has more power and it can affect a much more area rather than high frequency sound.one cant feel the noise of low frequency infrasonic sound but it does feel as a beat in heart.which is a more dangerous condition.so to set the noise as low frequency is not a good idea in accordance to public health.

The data below were obtained to predict the sound frequency to which a person’s ear will respond based upon the length of time a person has been exposed to a high level of noise. Here “length of exposure” is the amount of time in weeks that a person has been living close to a major airport and the “hearing range” is reported in thousand cycles per second. Length of exposure In weeks (Left) Hearing range In thousand cycles per second...

I have a question for my homework that says to react the following compounds with one equivalent of NBS with CCl4, and that they give only one major product. Then we have to explain why we gave our answers. I think this was just an accident that my professor left it out of the question, but wouldn't the reaction with NBS and CCl4 also need heat or light and peroxides to work? I've done the questions as if they were...

Draw a new budget constraint when the wage rate falls to $30 per hour. Show a new optimum point B. (ii) On your indifference curve diagram, decompose the effect of the...
