Are there more magnetic field lines inside or outside a magnet?
Solution:
Despite the shape of the magnet, the magnetic field lines are always closed. It means that they emerge from the magnet at one end (which we call north pole) and enter the magnet at other end (south pole). Inside the magnet these lines are almost parallel and complete the loop near the north pole. These filed lines repel each other and do not cross each other.
The two central lines are also closed loops even though they appear to be broken because they does fit in the diagram.
Thus the number of filed lines inside and the outside of the magnet are the same.
