an Astronomy question, please answer it comprehensively. Thank you

1. When confronted by a passerby who insists that black holes do nothing but ‘suck’ in everything around them you are able to set them straight using knowledge you gained from your class. Please briefly lay out an argument about what black holes actually do and explain why the passerby is mistaken.

Answer #1

Black holes are puncture in spacetime and are remnant of collapse of type A supernova . The ignorant notion about black holes is that they suck everything is wrong because if an object has enough velocity around black hole so that gravitational force on it by black hole balances centrifugal force, it would continuously orbit the block hole as earth orbit the sun . But if object doesn't have enough velocity then its orbital radius starts to decrease and finds stable orbit but if stable orbit is less than event horizon of black hole then object gets sucked in because at event horizon speed should be equal to light speed and higher further inside which is not possible so object finally gets crushed into singularity of black hole.

For astronomy class, please answer this question clearly, thank you Io, Europa, and Titan are all moons of Jovian planets that are known or suspected to be geologically active. They are too small to have significant radioactive heating in their cores like large terrestrials planets (e.g. Earth or Venus). Discuss the sort of heating that astronomers believe is responsible for the heating on these large moons. Why is this heating of great interest particularly for Europa?

Please answer with lots of detail; thank you! The mass of garbage put out for curbside pickup, per household, in a certain community, is reported to have a mean of 340 kg/year and a standard deviation of 85 kg/year. Based on this information: d) Assuming again that the population is very large, let us now suppose that 4 consecutive samples of 200 households are taken, and each one of them has a sample mean less than 330 kg/year. Calculate the...
