What are some of the best examples of chemical processes I can use in a safety project that especially need more safety measures?

Chemical engineering is a field where a lot of safety is needed as every process in industry deals with harmful chemicals and riskier process.

Distillation as far as concerned is a riskier process and it's not easy to handle manually and requires advanced process control techniques. Risk usually happens due to uncontrolled valves which controls the inlet and outlet of feed and product. High and uncontrolled pressure in distillation column.

Evaporation is another good example where safety is needed.

Absorption process is also a riskier process when considering the process of sulphuric acid manufacturing, where DCDA( double contact double absorption ) process is used.

Fermentation is also a riskier process usually used in brewing industry.

Hydrogenation is also a good example.

Nitration is also used in most of the industries. It requires handling of various harmful chemicals.
