What are different ways of notifying the result of the selection process to the applicants?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

There are several ways to notify the results of the selection process to the applicants. They are:

  • A verbal job offer that can be followed with a confirmation letter including salary and start date.
  • An email can be sent to the selected candidate if the results were not shared with him/her at the time of the interview.
  • If the position requires a background check, the successful candidate should be notified that the required background check or medical test must be completed with acceptable results before employment may begin.
  • The non-selected applicants should be sent an email notification upon de-selection.
  • Candidates interviewed but not selected should also be sent an email notification, but out of courtesy for their time and effort, a call should be made to notify them.
