The data sets which are extremely large that may be analysed computationally to derive useful patterns, trends and especially related to interactions and behaviours of the subjects involved.

HADOOP, HDinsight, NoSQL, Hive etc are some of the technologies that are important in current trends.

I used HADOOP for analyzing a chunck of big data for a client project in deriving correlation between consumer behaviour and product price variation.

We can generate trends/graphs and key standardisation in analyzing the data in big data.
