Before answering this first let us understand the difference between dependent and independent demand.

Independent demand is demand for finished products. For an example computer. Dependent demand is demand for the parts or components for the products. For an example in the case of computer processing chips will be dependent demand.

Independent demand comes first for an example you will need first bicycle then after that if it gets damaged then wheels for the bicycle will be dependent demand. So you will not buy wheel without buying bicycle.

So independent demand comes first.
