Answer #1

In my opinion, AT&T's structure and culture matches its strategy because the organization has a matrix organizational structure which aligns with its presence in different domains such as internet, wireless, televidion, mobile, prepaid recharges etc which require different teams and different set of operational and marketing strategies and hence making it important to have cross functional and departmental teams focus on building effective strategies to gain maximum market share for the organization in these different domanins and make the company achieve it's mission and vision. In my opinion, it is a good match and the organization is not experiencing any problems with its structure because AT&T is in diverse domains and in order to remain relevant in the market and come out with effective strategies, it needs to have specialized teams which are experienced in handling different domains and have specific expertise which is possible in this kind of organizational structure and the company is doing relatively well as well without any significant challenges faced with respect to its organizational structure. Hence it is important for the company to follow the current structure and strategies and look for ways to gain competitive advantage and maximum market share as well.
