- A matrix of culture is itself an expression representing the relationship between various cultural factors or aspects.

- Confrontation matrix is the type of matrix which is designed to analyze any company's SWOT factors. i.e - Strength, Weakness, Opportunities & Threats.

- By establishing the relationship between different pairs of SWOT factors company can set its certain objectives to achieve business goals & also various strategies can be very easily & effectively formulated based upon the score of the matrices.

* X- axis : OT , Opportunities & Threat ( Columns )

* Y- axis : SW, Strength & Weakness ( Rows )

- The ratings are made such that Let Score 3 is the top score or exact match to formulate the strategy, Score 2 is the next best & the Score 1 is the last & least.

- The different relationships are as follows :

1. SO - It is a mix strategy of Strength & Opportunities, the score obtained from this relationship suggests that having the better competencies enable companies to capture the new opportunities at earliest.

2. ST - It is related with the fact that inspite of being very strong organization, there are various threats in respect to the government policies, corporate relationships etc.

3. WO - It is not wise to go for better & new opportunities unless you have required competencies for that.

4. WT - very hard to survive in nowdays competitive markets with incompetent technologies, strategies & business model.

* The cultural factors impact largely upon the process of SWOT process that in turn upon the objectives or the strategy formulation of the company such as whether the culture around company is open in nature or conservative, purchase habits of the peoples and their cultural behavior etc.
