It is an important issue in the psychology(developmental) that there is a connection between innate features or genetic attributes and effects of environment on these traits.

This is also known as nature vs nurture debate.

• According to nativist(nature) development of an individual is influenced by its genes and genetic traits.most of the human behaviours are due to its biological factors like DNA or genes.

• According to empiricist(nurture) development of an human behaviour occurs due to effects of external factors like environmental factors and interactions. It may alter the development of human brain and its behaviour.

It is widely accepted that both nature and nurture play an important role in influencing and development of the human behaviour.
