Reward works as a motivator and the employee work with more sincerity, smartness and hard work. He or she becomes more responsible toward his or her job. For an individual employee I will give him hike in salary, share in profits, gift cards and incentives and bonus.
If I talk about team then I will provide a team recognition in a meeting, a point system where an individual team player will get the award for performing certain level of point. The reward in terms of paid leave, vacations etc.
If I talk about the team then the reward system would be owning a car of having identified by any banquet for a vacation.
