Belonging to an Indian culture, the decision are taken normally by the authoritative people or anyone having the right power to exercise the same. Being it the organisation, the government authorities or any of the small municipalities or courts that exist , in this culture we can see the decisions are taken with a lot of time, making it a lengthy process and always through a centralised way where a person having the right hold of power to have the final say in the decision.
In the organisations and in the culture existing in this country, we can sense that the main decisions are taken by the people having the right authority. A more centralised approach is exercised here as compared to the decentralised one. Even if the democracy exists in India, we can see the final say and the power mainly lies with the people already having the money or power to exercise the same. This is the only reason because of which the autonomy of the people and the decision making abilities of the people in the organisational and corporate culture is lower as compared to American culture. In the American culture, we can see that the group consensus and the importance to team work and team decisions are better. Even having an individualistic approach, we can see that the culture that exists in America still gives more power to people and listening and having everyone have a say in the decisions to be taken. This same process or procedure is not followed under the same culture in India because of the existence of authoritarian culture to prevail. Even in a cooperation manner, people having power are given the respect they earn because of their decisions which gives them the power to even exploit the powers of their position and take decisions without including the people together. Thus, we can say that the in Indian culture, people having the right power and the position takes the decision being it any form.
