Which one trait and which one attribute are the person’s strongest and which ones (attribute and trait) are the person’s weakest? (write the answer in a paragraph)
A director of a company where I worked. He was focused on the organization's goals. He was able to delegate assignments had clear processes and had defined deadlines for all team members. He communicated effectively and efficiently and ensured the objectives, targets, and deadlines were clear to all team members.
The director's positive task-oriented traits were that he was a strong communicator, able to effectively strategize, and excellent in time management. He was moderate in the delegation. His weakness was the inability to prioritize as he expected all tasks to be given equal importance. Regarding his interpersonal attributes, he was a strong motivator. But he had moderate listening skills and weak on flexibility.
Taking the example of an international exhibition that we were planning to participate in. So we started planning one year in advance. He created a Gantt chart and shared it will all team members. He was effectively communicating and strategizing when we need to book the booth, team members who would travel and the time frame to plan movement of the display items. He assigned duties and datelines to all time workers. He motivated all team members to contribute their best to the team members and clubbed it with incentives and rewards on achieving specific targets. He listened to our viewpoints and took our feedback on certain issues but was fixed about who we should present ourselves and our organization. He was not flexible on date lines and was not ready to adopt newer ways of promoting our product lines.
His strongest trait was strategizing effectively and strongest attribute was the ability to motivate and encourage team mates. His weakest trait was inability to prioritize and weakest attribute was lack of flexibility as he was always trying to ensure everything was done in a particular way only. There was very limited room for innovation or adopting new technique.
