Assignment: Banner Ads (Please do not attempt to solve if you can not fulfill all the requirements!!!!)

A common trend in e-marketing is designing something "in-house" and then outsourcing the actual development of the item overseas. Substantial cost savings can be realized in this fashion, as people in other countries will often do the same work at a fraction of the price that it can be done within the U.S.

The problem with this is that people living overseas live in different time zones and often do not speak English all that well. Therefore, you must be very careful in telling the people you outsource to what you want. You must be very detailed and prescriptive or else the financial gains you realize through the outsourcing effort will evaporate quickly due to work that doesn't meet expectations.

Your goal for this assignment is to work through an example of this. Imagine you work for a company with the following characteristics:

The company is an online reseller of ultra-bright LCD HDTVs from companies like Samsung, Toshiba, LG, etc.

The company operates in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico

The company is about to launch a new e-marketing banner ad program and needs you to design three new, eye-catching banner ads to hand over to their overseas developers. The goals for each banner are as follows:

Banner #1: should make reference to the fact that all of the TVs sold by the company are at the deepest discounts available, and are viewable from any angle.

Banner #2: should be a "TV Selector" ad that allows users to select between several criteria (price, size, resolution [720p, 1080i, etc.], warranty term) and present users with the "perfect" TV for them.

Banner #3: should advertise the companies e-incentive program which provides a discount in shipping based on a customer's location (you can select your own discounts). The discount incentive program should give a final "out the door" price for the TV (you can make up your own tax rates if you wish).

In addition to these items, management would like a list of potential sites to place these banner ads. Please come up with a list of ten sites that would be good places to place these ads and provide a very brief justification for advertising on each site.
