Answer: The use of the theories of education such as cognitive learning theory, behavioiral learning theory etc have been found to be useful in the nursing practice. The nurse indulge themselves in improving the quality of care by involving the theories in their practice.

The cognitive learning theory focus on the impact of the internal and external environment. According to this theory, the learner gains information from new questions or from the evidences, but the learning ability is influenced by various factors.

The cognitive learning theory plays major role in the nursing practice. It enables the nurse to understand the client's need. The understanding level of the client, the requirements such as visuals and sensory understanding and behaviour. It increases the efficacy of the treatment by improving the understanding between patient and healthcare professionals.
