Pulse is a regular throbbing of the arteries due to the flow of blood

Pulse can be felt prominately in the places like temporal,carotid,brachial,radial ,ulnar,femoral,popletial,dorsalis pedis at a normal rate of 72 beats per minute bradycardia is a condition where heart rate or pulse is below 50 beats per minute and tachycardia is a condition when heart rate is more than 110 beats per minute

Absence of pulse is can occur in the following conditions likr anuerysm or clots in the artery supplying to the region

A patient with hypotension will also show signs of low pulse which cannot be felt

Patient who has cardiac arrest or shock also will demonstrate absent pulse and would need immediate resuscitation to be revived back to life
