Question

you
find a person that has been missing for days in a forest. what type
of IV solution do you give them? isotonic, hypetonic, or hypotonic.
explain why and what type of solutes in it

Answer #1

Answer = In this condition the patient comppletely face from dehydrated condition means when the fluid intake of the body is not sufficient to meet the fluid need of the body so we should prefer intravenous rapid adminiatration of an isotonic crystalloid infusion and in this solution we preferred ringer lactate or also called hartman solution .

Isotonic solution = A solution that has the same salt concentration as cells and blood . for example - Normal saline 0.9 % Nacl , Ringer lactate solution and 5 % Dextrose in water D5W .

In dehydration the isotonic dehydration is the most commoon type of dehydration. it decreased circulatory blood volume and inadequate tissue perfusion so we prefer isotonic solution for regain a good circulatory system and tissue perfusion.

1.If a person is severely dehydrated, which type of IV solution
(hypotonic/isotonic/hypertonic) would replace intracellular fluid
lost from cells? Explain it.
2. Edema refers to tissue swelling, and this occurs when fluid is
drawn out of the blood plasma and into the interstitial fluid of
the tissues. One symptom of certain forms of thyroid disease
results in an overaccumulation of proteins in the interstitial
fluid.
a. Based on the fact that proteins are typically large, charged and
polar, do you...

Smith has been involved in 100 two-person activities
in life , and 45 of them have been negative-sum games. in 40 if the
45 negative-sum games, her winnings were less than the other
person's losses. in the remaining 5 negative-sum games, both she
and the other person incurred losses. Jones has been involved in
100 two-person games in life,and 45 of them have been negative-sum
games. in 2 of the 45 negative-sum games, his losses were greater

Among a group of people, the blood type AB- is found, on
average, 1 person in 100 people. If you randomly select 200 people
from this group, what is the probability to find more than 3 people
with AB- type blood ?
Find solution by
A.using the Binomial distribution and also
B. by the Poisson distribution.
You must write down both the respective formulas and evaluate
them numerically.

Explain what happens physiologically in a person that has been
sensitized to an allergen and they encounter the allergen for the
second time. Then compare and contrast the reactions that occur in
the person between the first and second encounter of the allergen.
Be able to explain what accounts for the
differences.

human organ on the black market? Fully explain WHY or WHY NOT

Scientists at the Hopkins Memorial Forest in western
Massachusetts have been collecting weather and environmental data
for more than 100 years. Recently they have stated that sulfate
content in water samples from Birch Brook have an average sulfate
content of 7.48 mg/L with a standard deviation of 1.60 mg/L.
What is our population of interest?
Are the average and standard deviations given sample statistics
or population parameters? Explain.
Suppose you plan to take a sample of 36 spots in Birch...

40% of the population has type A blood.
a) If 8 people are selected at random, what is the probability that
four or less of them have type A blood?
b) If 80 donors come to give blood one day, what is the probability
that 40 or less of them have Type A blood (using the normal
approximation)? Explain why this is higher or lower than the answer
in part (a).
c) If 10 people give blood one day, what...
