The following questions have all been answered incorrectly and/or are missing a key element.  Identify what is missing or incorrect AND correct them.

These are examples of what I have seen students do on their homework and are losing points for. Look to the answer that I have posted after you submit your answers.

1.) Find the probability of rolling a 20-sided die and it landing on a prime number.

P(prime numbers on 20-sided die) = 8 20 = 0.40 numbers

2.) Find the probability that at least 4 cars will have low tire pressure. (Assume all information was given to fully answer the question correctly and student showed the rest of their work.)

P(x ≥4) = work was shown = P(0.7768)

3.) Find the mean and standard deviation of the probability distribution. (Assume all information was given to fully answer the question correctly.)

4.) Find the probability that given Jack took a trip to Alaska in the summer, he took a trip to Spain in the winter.  (Assume all information was given to fully answer the question correctly.)

P(Spain in the Winter | Alaska in the Summer) = 0.7537

5.) It is known that a person playing a money wheel at the local carnival wins 63% of the time. John plays the game five times during his visit to the carnival. Complete a binomial probability distribution table for the probability of winning the game.

  L1: {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}   L2: binompdf(5, 0.63, L1)

r 1 2 3 4 5
P(r) 0.0590 0.2010 0.3423 0.2914 0.0992
