Breast cancer :

​​Breast cancer is one of the common cancers diagnosed in women but it can occur in both men and women. Breast cancer survival rates have increased in recent years because of increased breast cancer awareness and advanced researches. Signs and symptoms of breast cancer includes lump in the breast, inverted nipple, redness or pitting of the skin over the breast, changes in shape, size or appearance of the breast, etc. Hormonal, lifestyle, and environmental factors are some of the risk factors of breast cancer. There are mutated genes such as BRCA1, BRCA2, etc which plays a significant role in causing breast cancer. Diagnosis of breast cancer is done by the help of physical examination of breast, mammogram, PET scan, MRI scan, breast biopsy, etc. Treatment of breast cancer is by medical therapy, surgical therapy, and radiotherapy.
